In version 3 of Caloom the focus was on searching large amounts of different text and find relationships between those texts. We are used to see things like “related articles” or references in texts and Caloom version 3 added some levels more. Based on tests we did we could , within a large enough collection of texts, take 2 random texts and build links between them.
Imagine the theory of six degrees of separation, everyone connected to any other person with only six other people in between you and the other. We did the same with text. Unfortunately we ran out of money and steam and Nick had moved in the mean time to South Africa and rightfully so wanted to have a job that actually paid.
