Cultural Traffic Signs

Last year, I worked on a series of traffic sign inspired social commentary. The inspiration has grown gradually over the years, mainly fed by my frustration with the media industry and educational institutions. And, I like slogans, silly jokes and clever word games.

I got for example an issue with idea that you are just entitled to something, without have to work for it. I see this a lot among the artificially created victim-class. Among those are, for whatever reason, individuals who cannot to stand on their own two feet. In their misguided belief they demand others to supply them with whatever they feel is needed.

It doesn’t work that way, in a healthy society. With this attitude one creates a culture where those who truly need help, have even less chance to get the help the need. Those with a loud mouth and influence take the bread from the mouth of those who need it most. A disgrace.

In my worldview, the fault lies not solely with the self-perceived victims. I put most of the blame on the educational institutes, the media and of course: government.

Furthermore, this is all fed by the sick and twisted concept of political correctness. It is nothing more than a control mechanism to silence those who criticize the power structures. But, I rather fight for my freedom than succumb to the tyranny.
