Who we are
Our website address is: http://jeroencarelse.com
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
You cannot leave comments at my site
You cannot upload media to my site
Because I use 3rd party services, particulalry though the usage of the <iframe></iframe> tag, those 3rd parties may or may not place cookies on your computer. I do not like this but the alternative is to remove those <iframe></iframe> tags and add links to those services. See “embedded content” below.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
I use Matamo-analytics which is hosted on my server. The data that this piece of software collects does not reveal your identity. What I do see is the browser you use, the anonymized IP address, the time you accessed this site and which pages you visited.
Your IP address is masked by 2 bytes:
192.168. 123.456 becomes 192.168.xxx.xxx
If you like me to remove your data then contact me with the exact above information as I would not have a clue otherwise what to delete. In other words: you are not known to me.
Who we share your data with
I don’t share any data with anyone. It is no one’s business you visit this humble website.
How long we retain your data
The data that the software collects is retained for 180 days.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
But as NO ONE has an account here except me (Jeroen) and I do NOT ALLOW comments there is nothing to request.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. However, as I do not allow for comments this is irrelevant.
Your contact information
How we protect your data
I do not collect specific data about aside for the above-mentioned methods. We do not allow comments or any form of registrations. Therefore the amount of data specifically about you is minimal and limited to cookies and IP addresses in the server log files.
What data breach procedures we have in place
I have server protection mechanisms in place offered by the ISP. I use within the website WordPress specific firewalls and various detection systems.
What third parties we receive data from
None that I am aware of. We aim to not store, gather or disseminate data about people but the reality is that plugins change, 3rd party providers make changes and the information to us can flow very slowly about this.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
