Spheres of Influence brings together virtues and sins as two opposing forces within a larger domain, visualized as the flower of life. I probably state the obvious here, but the left sphere is the darkness, the shadow. Those aspects of ourselves that we often hide or repress. Unfortunately, perhaps, we live in a time when the sins are the virtues, and vice versa. The virtues are on the right, and the sins on the left.
Within my world-view, we come into the life experience on planet Earth and then leave. The moment we have left, we call death. And after this eternity, we may very well return to the experience on this planet to learn more and grow as a soul. Until we cannot learn any more lessons on planet Earth, this cycle will repeat. Maybe we move on to other realms, who knows.
In this study, the experiences are characterized by decline (towards high entropy), hope, and growth (towards low entropy). This work also combines my theory of authenticity with my notion of consciousness and how we can evolve towards a more authentic Self. The secret life within my authenticity model is in this work the domain of darkness. This does not mean that, for example, lust is dark, like many religious and nowadays, so-called conservative groups want you to think. Lust we need, but, within the right context, with elegance and restrain. Similar for chastity.
It is all about learning, about balance, about growing, trying, failing, learning and trying again. We are human, and we make mistakes. It is important to acknowledge our mistakes, but they should not be allowed to overshadow us with feelings of guilt or shame.
